Siouxs Horse Postcards
I have opened this small website to give an insight into my Horse Post Card Collection, which I am now dispersing via eBay rather than have the collection ‘lost’ when I pass on. I am hosting this via my Jackahuahua Website do take a peek if you want to know more about this lovley dog.
Having collected for almost 50 years I have built up a huge catalogue of cards, covering a postal period of over one hundred years. I have cards ranging from ‘standard’ still published cards through to Real Photo cards that are just that little more personal. Some have messages, some have been posted, some are like new, some a little more worn. Some are artist drawn, some are posed photos, some just lovey snapshots in time.
I hope these cards will ‘live on’ well after me in the same way they have lived well beyond the original buyers.
Each has been bought based on a love of all things equine.
Now the collection is living on with new ‘owners’ , other avid collectors like myself who have the collecting bug and finding joy in these cards and the horses they portray.
Cards have found new homes, literally World Wide. Cards have been ‘rehomed’ as far away as Australia and New Zealand to just a few miles from home here in Hampshire, England. Closest card was homed less than 10 miles away. The collection has spread to almost every county in the UK and to countries such as Germany, Poland, France, Italy, USA, Canada, Norway,Sweden, Holland, Ireland, Russia and Spain.
